The Real Fantasy Basketball and Hockey Seasons Start Now

During the time we've been running 365FantasySports.com I've come to really appreciate the playoffs. Any playoffs. Any sport. Even NASCAR's "Chase". Hell, even the Little League World Series puts me in a good frame of mind.

Is it the drama? The fact that every pitch, free throw, play, shot and lap count? The intensity? The raw emotion shown through both the elation of victory and the crushing blows of a sudden death loss?

Maybe. It could be any or all of those reasons. But for the past two years I've developed a deeper love of the post season because this is when daily fantasy sports move to the forefront of the fantasy players' minds. Your "traditional, season-long" fantasy basketball or fantasy hockey league have either ended recently or you've been out of contention for weeks or even months. But daily fantasy sports roll on.

Rather than spending the next couple weeks over analyzing the upcoming NFL draft or the spring and summer months sitting around counting the days 'til your first fantasy football draft, you can still get your hoops and pucks fantasy fix by participating in daily fantasy hockey and daily fantasy basketball contests.

Contests? Yes, contests. Not leagues. Leagues imply a set group of participants who you compete against for an entire season. Contests only last a single day. Get in. Select a line-up. Watch your line-up kick the snot out of your opponent's line-up. Collect your cash. Get out. Simple. Good. Fun.

If the idea of making money on a daily basis during the playoffs from your fantasy skills sounds appealing to you, then find a daily fantasy sports site. Stat. Now. Don't wait any longer. Personally, I think you should try 365FantasySports.com. No other site gives you the combination of a huge variety of contests, ease of use and fantastic customer service.

The post season is about to become your favorite time of year too.

All Star Challenge Video

I wanted everyone to be able to see just how quick and easy it is to enter a contest and select a roster at 365FantasySports.com.

Remember, the video you are about to see only shows ONE of the contest types available for play. The contest shown is called the MLB All Star Challenge. It allows you, the player to put 10 absolute fantasy studs on your roster. The choices in each round are tough... but that's the way they should be. The likelihood of you and your competitor each choosing the same player in all 10 rounds is very slim.

Other videos will follow soon for our other contests like: "Positions"; "Hardball"; "Threesome" and our "Points Cap" contests.

We are proud to be the innovator of all of of these contests and the site which provides you, the player, with the widest variety of daily fantasy baseball and all other daily fantasy sports contests.

Enjoy the video and the daily fantasy action!

Bracket Pools are Great but New Contests Make the Madness of March a Real Fantasy

While many college basketball fans will be filling out their brackets in the minutes and hours after the teams and seedings are revealed on Selection Sunday, David Lowitz will be busy creating daily fantasy basketball contests for the opening days of the tournament.

Yes, fantasy sports has made its way into college basketball now and both fans of fantasy sports and college hoops alike should rejoice in its emergence. Lowitz, Co-founder and General Manager of http://365FantasySports.com said, "Bracket pools are great, no doubt. But for true college basketball fans our daily fantasy contests will really bring life to the tournament." He added, "Interest will extend beyond just rooting for a team to win as fantasy contestants will now also have a vested interest in the performance of individual players as well."

Daily fantasy sports contests are similar to traditional, season-long fantasy leagues in that participants select individual players to form their rosters and that their scores will be based upon the on-court performance of the players on their rosters.

The biggest difference is simply the length of the contest. True to their name, these daily fantasy contests only last a single day. This means contestants get paid their winnings daily rather than having to wait until the end of the season, or in this case, until the end of the tournament.

"We live in a microwave society", said Lowitz. "Everything these days is quick, quick, quick. Daily fantasy action provides contestants with a fast and easy manner to enter contests, draft their rosters and get paid. In short, we offer immediate gratification."

While bracket pools are enormously popular, there are some drawbacks to them. First, it takes the duration of the tournament (about a month) to determine the winner. Second, if the team that a contestant has chosen to "go all the way" gets defeated early on, that person doesn't have much of a chance to win their pool. Third, bracket pools have a strict entry deadline. Once the tournament begins, it’s too late to participate. Finally, there is a major "luck" factor involved in selecting a winning bracket. Often times the casual fan or even the non-sports fan in the office is the person who emerges victorious.

There are many benefits to daily fantasy contests vs. bracket pools. To begin with, the daily fantasy contests offer a "fresh start" every day. Additionally, contestants are not “shut out” once the tournament begins as there are new contests available to enter on a rolling basis. According to Lowitz, "If you have a bad day today, no worries, there's always tomorrow. Conversely if you win today, you can enter tomorrow’s contests using today's profits." Finally, there is a minimal level of skill involved. While you don't have to be a college basketball junkie to compete or win, it is important to have a good understanding of trends and player match-ups.

The daily fantasy contests offered by http://365FantasySports.com are affordable to enter with contest entry fees starting at just $6. It should also be noted that contestants play against each other in very small groups of 2, 3, 4, or 6 people per contest. Lowitz added, "These are not like the mega contests that can be entered for free and offer a four-, five-, or six-figure payouts. Those are more like lotteries as you are competing against tens or even hundreds of thousands of people. With our small sided contests, everyone has a real chance to win."

http://365FantasySports.com ran daily fantasy college contests throughout the regular season and will continue to do so this week during the conference tournaments leading up to March Madness.

Fans who enter these contests this March and April should find that bracket pools plus daily fantasy contests equal one very intriguing tournament experience.
